Golf underneath, coupé on top
VW built the Mk3 Scirocco on the Mk5/6 Golf's PQ35 platform, and the tuning world thanks it: nearly every engine and chassis part developed for those Golfs bolts straight on. The R is the sweet spot - the Mk6 Golf R's EA113 in a lighter, front-driven body, with a K04 that supports well past 300hp on software and breathing alone. Maxton's styling range for this shape is one of its biggest.
The proven upgrade path
Scirocco - frequently asked
Do Golf parts fit the Scirocco?
A great many do - the platform is shared with the Mk5/Mk6 Golf, so engine hardware and most suspension parts interchange. Exhausts and exterior styling are Scirocco-specific; every listing here is confirmed for the coupé.
Is the Scirocco R the same engine as the Golf R?
Same EA113 2.0 TSI as the Mk6 Golf R, minus the 4MOTION - the Scirocco R is front-driven. Tuning hardware and maps carry over; traction becomes the limiting factor past ~350hp, so an LSD is a smart pairing.
Were there facelift differences?
The 2014 facelift changed lights, bumpers and brought the R to 280hp. Mechanical parts largely carry over; styling parts are listed pre/post-facelift.
Do you offer ECU tuning in-house?
Yes - Stage 1-3 and custom ECU mapping are done fully in-house. We don't currently offer parts fitting, but we're happy to advise on your install.
