Two engines, two legends
The 8V is really two tuning stories. The S3 is a Mk7 Golf R underneath - same EA888, same IS38, same 400hp-on-a-hybrid path, with every MQB part proven twice over. The RS3 is the special one: the 2.5 TFSI five takes a simple map to around 470hp, bolt-ons to 500+, and has become the base for four-figure drag builds worldwide. Between them sits a huge, mature catalogue - this is one of the best-supported platforms we sell for.
The proven upgrade path
8V - frequently asked
Do Golf R parts fit the S3?
Extensively - the S3 8V and Mk7 Golf R share the MQB platform and EA888/IS38 drivetrain. Exhausts and styling are body-specific; engine and chassis hardware largely interchanges.
Pre-facelift or facelift RS3 - does it matter?
Yes: the pre-facelift DAZA makes 367hp, the facelift 400hp, with small hardware differences. Both tune superbly; listings state which variant they fit.
How much can the RS3 make?
Around 470hp on a map, 500-550 with bolt-ons on the stock turbo, and the sky beyond that - the 2.5 TFSI is one of the strongest production engines of its era.
Do you offer ECU tuning in-house?
Yes - Stage 1-3 and custom ECU mapping are done fully in-house. We don't currently offer parts fitting, but we're happy to advise on your install.
