One platform, every flavour
The F3x generation is the biggest single platform in our BMW catalogue because it covers so much ground: four bodies, a dozen engines, RWD and xDrive. The good news for owners - chassis, brake and styling parts are shared across nearly all of them, and the two headline petrol engines (N55 and B58) inherit fully proven tuning paths from the 1 and 2 Series cars. Whatever F3x you run, the upgrade map is already drawn.

F3x - frequently asked
Do 3 Series and 4 Series parts interchange?
Mostly - F30/F31 and F32/F33/F36 share the platform, so suspension, brakes and drivetrain parts cross over. Exhausts and exterior styling are body-specific and listed as such.
Which engine parts fit my car?
Go by engine code, not badge: N20/B48 fours, N55 or B58 sixes, B47/N57 diesels. Every engine-side listing on this page states its code - the sidebar filter narrows to yours.
Is the 340i/440i really the same engine as the M140i?
Yes - the B58. Downpipes, intercoolers, intakes and maps developed on the M140i apply directly, making the 340i/440i one of the best value tuning bases on sale.
Do you offer ECU tuning in-house?
Yes - Stage 1-3 and custom ECU mapping are done fully in-house. We don't currently offer parts fitting, but we're happy to advise on your install.
